A Message from Our Principal

Best High Schools Silver 2013 Award

Greetings Parents,

The holidays are quickly upon us and so is the end of the semester. For some reason, every year seems to fly by faster than the one before. I hope all of you take time to rest and to enjoy quality time with loved ones. Here are a few reminders for the end of the semester:

Final Exams
Final exams are worth 20% of the semester grade. Students will take finals from December 17-19. These will be early release days. Please remind your students to study for these exams. All exams will cover what they have learned over the entire semester.

10 is 10
If your son or daughter has accumulated more than ten absences, they will need to set up an attendance appeal in order to receive credit for their classes. They may set up an appointment with Ms. Jo Ayon in the front office.

Absences/Tardies
We have noticed an increase in both tardies and absences this semester. It is important that students arrive to school and to all of their classes on time. Please take some time to speak with them about this subject. Students with excessive tardies and absences will receive a call home and possible consequences will result.

At Rio Rico High School, we want to encourage all of our students to be successful. We believe that every student matters, and with your support, we can help each and every one of our students reach their goals. Happy holidays!

Sincerely,

Shelly Vroegh
