A Message from Our Principal

Best High Schools Silver 2013 Award

Dear Parents,

It is hard to believe that we are already in the fourth quarter of the 2014-2015 school year. We have had such a positive year, and I know it will continue to be so until graduation day! Do not forget that summer school will be available for the month of June. If your child is behind on credits, this is the perfect opportunity to catch up.

AzMERIT is the new test replacing the reading, writing, and math AIMS. This is a new kind of test for Arizona students, and it goes beyond multiple-choice questions. The test results from AzMERIT should provide a better indicator of what students have learned during the school year. Your child does not have to achieve a passing score on the AzMERIT for graduation. Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors will be testing during the month of April.

If you have any questions regarding testing at RRHS, please contact Judy Kennedy, our instructional specialist, at (520) 375-8702. We will also share more information at the site council meeting on April 1 at 5:00 p.m. Please make plans to join us for this meeting.

I hope you have a wonderful month of April.

Sincerely,

Shelly Vroegh
